How to remove ads and clutter before converting
Remove Elements lets you clean the page before conversion. Click anything you don't want in the PDF and it disappears; an on-screen toolbar gives you undo if you take out too much. This is the tool for cookie banners, ad slots, newsletter popups, floating chat widgets and any other furniture that would otherwise be baked into your document.

Steps
Open the extension and choose Remove Elements
The page enters removal mode and an on-screen toolbar appears.
Click what you don't want
Each click deletes the element under the pointer. Work through the page top to bottom: cookie banner, ad slots, sticky header, chat widget, related-posts grid.
Undo anything you overshot
The toolbar has an undo button. Each press restores the most recently deleted element, and you can undo all the way back to the original page.
Convert
Convert as normal. The PDF contains the page as you left it.
Worth knowing
- Deletions are per-session and reset when you reload the page. The extension does not store selectors for re-blocking. If you want the same things gone every time, pair it with a content blocker and convert the already-clean page.
- Deleting one element sometimes removes a whole section, because you clicked a container rather than the item inside it. Undo and click the child instead.
- For an archival capture — a terms page, a listing, a record — resist over-cleaning. Surrounding context is part of what makes the document useful later.
Questions
Are my deletions remembered for next time?
No. Deletions are per-session and reset on reload — the extension deliberately doesn't store CSS selectors for persistent blocking. For that, use a dedicated content blocker and then convert the cleaned page.
I deleted too much. Can I get it back?
Yes. The Remove Elements toolbar has an undo button, and each press restores the most recently deleted element. You can keep pressing it back to the original page.
