How to add the page URL and page numbers to a PDF
With "Display header and footer" enabled, Chrome's print engine stamps the page title into the header and the URL plus page number into the footer. For anything you're keeping as a record — an archived listing, a terms page, a claim document — this is the difference between a useful PDF and an anonymous one.

Steps
Open the popup
On the page you want to convert.
Enable "Display header and footer"
You'll get the page title in the header and the URL plus page number in the footer.
Leave enough bottom margin
The default 0.56 in bottom margin exists for exactly this. If you've set margins to zero, restore some room or the footer will crowd the content.
Convert
Every page now carries its source and position.
Worth knowing
- Turn this on by default for archival captures. Six months later, a PDF that shows where it came from and when is worth considerably more than one that doesn't.
- Leave it off for a clean reading copy or anything you're sharing as a finished document — the stamps are useful metadata, not presentation.
- The date shown comes from your system clock, as with any browser print job.

No — the content comes from Chrome's print engine, which uses the page title, URL and page number. You can turn the whole thing on or off, but not edit the fields.
